Disgraced former FBI director James Comey appeared on CBS This Morning Wednesday, where he defended himself and his former employer against accusations that it spied on President Donald J. Trump’s 2016 campaign.
“The FBI doesn’t spy, the FBI investigates,” he said. “We investigated a very serious allegation that Americans might be hooked up with the Russian effort to attack our democracy.”
Comey called Attorney General William P. Barr’s summary of the report compiled by Special Counsel Robert S.
