WATCH: Mark Meadows Invites Lynne Patton to Blast Cohen Racism Claims During Hearing

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) invited a former employee of the Trump organization and current Housing and Urban Development (HUD) employee Lynne Patton – a black woman – to Wednesday’s Congressional testimony by President Donald J. Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen.

The purpose was for Patton’s invitation was to refute Cohen’s claims that Trump is a “racist,” which Cohen made under oath, despite working for Trump for a decade.

“I asked Lynne to come today in her personal capacity to shed some light,” Meadows told Cohen. “How long have you known Ms. Patton?”

Cohen responded by saying that he was “responsible for Ms. Patton joining the Trump organization” and apparently for her employment at HUD, despite the fact that Cohen never worked for the Trump administration.
