Beto O’Rourke Announces Presidential Campaign via Text Message to TV Station

Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke revealed that he plans to run for President of the United States via a text message sent to a local TV station.

KTSM reported that O’Rourke is officially launching his presidential campaign on Thursday morning, and that he gave them the exclusive information via a text message exchange between the station’s journalists and the failed senate candidate.

“I’m really proud of what El Paso did and what El Paso represents,” O’Rourke said in the text. “It’s a big part of why I’m running. This city is the best example of this country at its best.”
