Conservative, Latino and Patriotic – an Interview with Chris Salcedo of The Blaze – Episode 261

June 27, 2017

On this episode of Blunt Force Truth, Chuck Woolery and Mark Young invite radio host Chris Salcedo to the podcast to discuss his experiences as a conservative Latino in the media. They talk about his transition into working with Glenn Beck at The Blaze and cover his time working in Washington, D.C., when Obama was in office.

Chris Salcedo is a veteran broadcaster, author and a political analyst. The Chris Salcedo Show, on The Blaze Radio Network, stands as the only national radio show to feature a genuinely conservative Latino. Chris can also be heard on AM 700 KSEV, Houston and on 820 AM WBAP in Dallas/Fort Worth.

A graduate of San Diego State University, Chris got started in radio in news and traffic. From there, he began his career in television doing weather on XETV, San Diego’s Fox 6.  Chris has filled in for the nationally syndicated Glenn Beck, Andrea Tantaros and Roger Hedgecock radio shows.

Chris’s news experience extends past being one of the few weather men in the nation to do a hard-hitting story on Social Security. He was a news anchor in the 5th largest TV market in the nation at CBS11/TXA 21 in DALLAS/FORT WORTH. Chris moved to Washington D.C. to take an anchor position on the nationally syndicated America’s Radio News Network. Currently, Chris is a contributor to TheBlaze.com, and is the executive Director of the Conservative Hispanic Society.
