We have seen constant headlines talking about the struggles that both side are dealing with right now. These types of headlines are nothing new for either side but with the heightened tensions between parties has create more importance to these headlines than in the past.
Conservatives have more control than they have had in almost a century but are struggling with making any progress with their agenda. The constant distractions with the Russian Probe, Comey firing, and the rest of the drama in DC has slowed the progress, of President Trump’s agenda goals. This week we should expect to see some answers about the healthcare reform but this is only one of Trump’s agenda changes.
We are yet to see much with immigration, other than his travel ban proposal but that has been caught up in lower courts and is just gaining a little more attention. The recent attention has come from the increase in terror attacks by ISIS. Trump’s tax reform has not been given a lot of attention so far but we can expect that will become a future headline.
On the other hand, we have seen Trump’s 2018 budget proposal, which included major cuts throughout the government’s spending and the expected increase in military spending. Though his budget proposal was what he promised, and puts the government on a path to eliminate the deficit, it has not had a lot of support from either party.
To look at the struggles of the left, we must look at their recent loss of two seats in special elections. The left lost elections for two house seats in areas that were not Trump dominated areas, during the election. On top of that, the DNC has been called out for being near bankruptcy by Hillary Clinton. This brings question to their funding of their “resistance summer” because of their alleged lack of finances to support the movement.
The desperate moves by the left following the elections, show that they have lost complete control and it does not seem that they will regain control. The desperate attempts to distract the country and lawmakers away from serious matter will only last so long. The media has been the face of the left since the election but they will only be able to create drama and fake stories for so long.
Both parties are having their struggles but the left seems to have lost all control and is self-destructing. Conservatives have control and will get down to work on fulfilling Trump’s agenda, regardless of the distractions the left are making. The left is worse off than the right but the media is trying to make it seem like it is the opposite. Looking through the smoke is not hard to do and shows who is in real trouble.
