To Jesse Jackson literally everything is racism, but apparently nothing is sexism. I’m guessing because there is no money in it for him. A journalist for the black website The Root is accusing the good reverend of touching her inappropriately. I think we all know that he will blame an unjust system for making him grope a female against her will, because that’s what he does.
Danielle Young writes for The Root and yesterday she recounted a meeting with Jackson a few years ago at some kind of conference for black journalists:
After Jackson’s riveting and inspiring speech about the responsibility of black journalists, we all lined up to take a photo with him. One by one, we stepped up, shared a few words and thank-yous with Jackson, snapped photos and went back to our desks. Simple enough, right?
I walked toward Jackson, smiling, and he smiled back at me. His eyes scanned my entire body. All of a sudden, I felt naked in my sweater and jeans. As I walked within arm’s reach of him, Jackson reached out a hand and grabbed my thigh, saying, “I like all of that right there!” and gave my thigh a tight squeeze.
I was shocked, to say the least. Even though Jackson had had his hand reached out, I had no idea that he would touch me in a sexual way.
While taking pictures, Jackson continued to hold Young in a way that made her uncomfortable. She eventually broke free and learned she wasn’t the only one Jackson had groped:
I reached out to a former co-worker who was in the conference room, who also had lined up to get her own photos with Jackson, and she said: “I remember him being inappropriate with all the women. And I also remember you telling me that he did something more with you. And then we brushed the shit off and chalked it up to him just being a dirty old man.”
The Root contacted Jackson to get his take on things and a representative offered this:
“Although Rev. Jackson does not recall the meeting three years ago, he profoundly and sincerely regrets any pain Ms. Young may have experienced,” read the statement.
So he more or less admits to touching this female journalist inappropriately. Seems like the less dumb thing to do would be deny it. As a race hustler and shakedown artist, Jackson knows very well how easy it is get a settlement out of something like this. He pretty much just handed this woman a successful sexual harassment lawsuit. He’s probably counting on the fact that she is black and considers him an icon to keep her from suing.
Jackson of course has a long history of sexual impropriety. Back in the late 90’s he had an affair with one of his staffers that resulted in the birth of a love child. His Rainbow PUSH Coalition was busted for paying this woman hush money, which probably made people who donated to it to fight racism a little mad.
Interesting enough, this accusation of Jackson groping a woman is not a big news story for the liberal media. They have enough problems trying to make it seem like liberal Hollywood isn’t a cesspool of rape and the last thing they need is to be accused of racism for reporting on a black civil rights leader’s busy hands.
