Staying Alive – an Interview with Jordan Harbinger from The Art of Charm – Episode 264

July 18, 2017

After Chuck Woolery and Mark Young discuss Mark’s heavy metal past and respond to some listener calls, they invite podcast pro Jordan Harbinger back for a guaranteed good listen.

Jordan tells the stories of when he was kidnapped, not once but twice, and how he got out of those situations. He talks about what he’s learned from those experiences and how that has informed his understanding of situation awareness and the emotional brain. Mark adds to the discussion by describing the difference between the conscious and unconscious mind and what each can process.

He offers some basic but very important tips for most public settings that can help you to be more aware of everything around you, keeping you and your family safer. They weigh this type of awareness against the fear of being politically incorrect.

Jordan Harbinger is an American lawyer and Sirius XM radio talk show host. He is best known for being the co-founder of the dating and social dynamics podcast The Art of Charm.

Jordan Harbinger has always had an affinity for Social Influence, Interpersonal Dynamics and Social Engineering, helping private companies test the security of their communications systems and working with law enforcement agencies before he was even old enough to drive.

Jordan has spent several years abroad in Europe and the developing world – including South America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East – and speaks several languages. He has also worked for various governments and NGOs overseas, traveled through war-zones and been kidnapped – twice. He’ll tell you: the only reason he’s still alive and kicking is because of his ability to talk his way into (and out of) just about any type of situation.
